Media Cause is seeking a Technical Project Manager. This role will report to the Director of Project Management. The ideal candidate has a broad project management skill set as well as web technology / development experience. This role will report to the Director of Project Management.

What you’ll do:


  • Lead scoping for technical projects with new and existing clients as well as Media Cause account teams
  • Improve efficiency for technology project scoping (develop questionnaire or streamline client intake process) to turn around high quality proposals faster
  • Work with Sales to create proposals and SOWs as needed (approximately 1 per week) for technical projects with new and existing clients


  • Work with clients, developers and internal MC teams to ensure all tech related projects on completed to scope, on budget and on schedule
  • Manage client happiness so that every single technology related project results in a client reference and case study.
  • Document detailed project requirements effectively
  • Maintain project status reports and track project finances with clients and internal team members
  • Lead presentations to share relevant project work to clients when required, in collaboration with account team members
  • Assist with testing and quality review of work deliverables

Who you are:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years working as a technical project manager, preferably in an agency environment, and understand the relationships between account, strategy, creative design and technology team members
  • You have excellent organizational and project planning skills
  • You have broad technical knowledge in areas of website development and marketing technologies, and can apply that knowledge to planning and managing those types of projects
  • You hold yourself personally accountable and responsible for the work of your team, and expect others to do the same
  • You can confidently and effectively manage multiple projects under similar deadlines, but aren’t afraid to raise your hand when you need help
  • You speak client fluently and can be counted on to bring professionalism and empathy to every interaction
  • You can share examples of technical projects (i.e. website development, technical integrations) you’ve managed to completion
  • Ideal candidates have direct experience working with tools related to CRM, analytics, SEO, and CMS website administration in platforms such as Wordpress or Drupal
  • You don’t need a background in nonprofit marketing, but a passion for driving social change, a working knowledge of the space, and a scrappy approach to maximizing limited budgets are a must.
